Sunday, February 29, 1948

bathed all the Kids & we ate & went to sunday school. Jerry & Gail went with Lee & Ma Carlson brought rest of Kids home. Ivard & I went up to Glens & ate & they went to Ontario to Scout meeting. I went over to Oregon Trail to play practice came home at 5:30 & got Gail & Jerry & ate & took Lyle & went back to church.

Saturday, February 28, 1948

Ivard - Lyle & Jerry took Jerrys calf to sale at Caldwell, got 77. got a hand plow & round tabled like Ma's. I scrubbed & waxed & cleaned house good. Stokers brought Gail home. We went & got a load of hay. ate & Kids did dishes. Ivard & I played Penochle.

Friday, February 27, 1948

did up work. Ivard rested horses half day. raked weeds all morning. We played Penochle. took Kids to primary & went up to Stans until it was out. We ate & Ivard went missionarying. I got my books up. Gail stayed down to Stokers.

Thursday, February 26, 1948

windy but warm. cleaned up baked bread, made cherry pies & got dinner. Ivard & I played penochle awhile. He plowed most of day. We ate & Ivard & I & Jerry - Kay & Gene went up to P.T.A. party.

Wednesday, February 25, 1948

got letter from ma yesterday & Louie today. did up work & we went over to Lee's & got his bull. Went out & burned weeds all afternoon while Ivard plowed. got supper & Lyle, Gail & I went to Mutual & show after. spring day.

Tuesday, February 24, 1948

I went threw house & cleaned good all but scrubbing, baked bread. Ivard & I went after hay, he feels a little better. He plowed all day. Jerry stayed home but was up. Mr. Carlson came to go missionary but Ivard didn't feel good.

Monday, February 23, 1948

wrote mother & Berniece. Jerry stayed home, feels better, so does Ivard. I laid down & had nap. Mrs. Ricks came & we went relief society Teaching. came home at 5:30 went after a load of hay. Ivard rode with us. Keith Stoker came & took me over to Maws to our first play practice.

had to doctor Ivard & Jerry all day and night. Made icecream & cherry pie. finished my iorning. hailed a little. got dishes to bed & did dishes & Ivard & I played penochle. didn't go to church today.

Saturday, February 21, 1948

rained all day. Ivard & I went to Parma & sent my Avon them we went to Caldwell & Ivard went & had his toe ex-rayed thot it was a broken but it wasn't he had infection in it has to put packs on it & take sulfa. We ate & Kids did dishes & chores & I went up to Carlson's. Came home & we played penochle. Jerry sick.

worked on rug till noon. Lee came over & we went to Caldwell. Came home & took kids to Primary. We went up to Stans while they were in Primary. came home & ate & Kids did dishes & I iorned until Ivard got home from missionary.

Thursday, February 19, 1948

We went & got a load of hay. Ivard plowed all afternoon and I worked on rug, baked bread & got supper. We went to bed early.

Wednesday, February 18, 1948

blustery morning. played penochle while Ivard soaked his sore toe. Ivard plowed all day & I worked on rug. got supper & Kids did dishes. Ivard read while I worked on rug & got my books up.

Played Penochle until noon. finished drying clothes & putting them away, baked bread, defrosted ice box & got supper. Ivard burned weeds all day. He went out missionary & I worked on rug until he got home at 11:

Ivard helped me wash (mo). Cloudy but got a lot of them dry. got supper & Kids did the dishes. We all went to ball game at Adrian. I was score keeper. Wilsons beat us.

Sunday, February 15, 1948

bathed all the kids & we ate & went to Sunday school. Lyle went home with Stokers. We ate at 3:30 & I went to bed all afternoon. Kids did dishes. had gas so bad I about died. Kids went to bed & Ivard read while I got books up & wrote Mother.

got milk check & I took it to Parma to bank while Ivard loaded hay at Lees. got groceries. got my bond cashed Grandpa Batt gave me. got supper & did dishes while Ivard milked. Kids went Valentining. I never got one only from them. no money.We played penochle.

sent Kids valentines. worked on rug all day. Ivard went to Nampa to see Rail Road about another leave of absence, Boss not there. I made potatoe salad to take to 70's Party over at Oregon Trail. had pot luck & danced, whose stake, fun.

I made bread & chilli and spent all day scrubbing and cleaning, whole house. Ivard went after hay. Lyle Gail & us went to Mutual & show after. Ivard gave a 5 min. insperational talk in opening exercises. Cold wind.

We went to Ray's then to Ontario. Gone all day, sure cold. We ate & did dishes while Ivard did chores. We went to P.T.A. but they didn't have one, no officers. talkend until 10:

I worked on rug all day. Ivard went after hay. I made bread & cooked chickens. Rode to Caldwell & Parma with Glen & Add. Ate & went & played basketball at Adrian. I was score keeper. We won in an over time period. snow.

snow & blizzard all day, gone by night. didn't go to church, no gas Ivard studied all day & I read Bible & worked on rug. made cake & got supper & did dishes. wrote Ma & Louie & Ivard wrote Irv. got books up.

Stoker stayed last night & went home tonight, worked on rug all day. cold again (me) guy came & worked on pump. ate, did dishes & went to bed early. Ivard read to me awhile first. baked bread.

Friday, February 6, 1948

worked on rug all day. Ivard went after hay. we made a freezer of icecream to take to Stan's. did dishes & got supper. Don & Mr Parkin stoped a min on way up from Utah. Went & got Lee & S. & went to Adds & Max & them went with us to surprise party on Stan & Louise, Laurence & A. & Ray & E. too had fun. 8 below.

I baked bread & finished my iorning. Stan came & him & Ivard went over to Lee's a couple of hrs. worked on my undone square one & started a oval. We ate & I did dishes while Ivard did chores. he went missionarying & I worked on rug.

Ivard changed plumbing out of pressure tank today. I cleaned up & iorned all afternoon & made rasher pudding for supper. Ivard, Lyle and I went to Mutual. we got home at 10:00.

I cleaned whole house all but scrubbing. guy came from Sears & him & Ivard worked on pump all day. Ivard went after hay when Kids came then we ate & I did dishes while he did chores. He went missionarying & I got books up.

Monday, February 2, 1948

Wrote Ma. snowed again. I went to Parma & put money in bank & got meat & made chilli, no water guy from Sears came out & worked on it all day. never got chilli up to school until 1: then it wasn't done. did dishes & ate then Ivard & I, Lyle, Jerry & Kay went to Adrian to ball game. town team beat us. I was scorer.

Snow when we woke up. Gail still to Stokers. Lyle, Ivard & I went to sunday school & fast meeting them up to Stans & had dinner with them then up to Rays & planned a surprise party on Stan for the 6th got home at 6: & fed Kids & did chores & went back to officers & teachers sunday school meeting.
