did up work & did my iorning Ivard started to plant beets. Lyle & Ivard & I went to Mutual. scrubbed & waxed the house

Tuesday, March 30, 1948

did my last 7 batches of washing & got all my clothes out. we went & got Syble & Lee & went to Nyssa & got our beet seed then to Parma & got groceries, got hay & came home. I got supper & got clothes all in. Ivard went missionarying & I got books up. Kids did dishes.

Monday, March 29, 1948

sent letter to Berniece & Ma. Kids didn't have to go to school. They all helped Ivard but Jerry & we did a 3 week wash all but 7 batches then we went to Boise & stood in line 4 hrs, rain most of time, to see the Freedom Train. Ivard & little Kids stayed in car. Ivard went missionarying.

Sunday, March 28, 1948

Ivard went to Priesthood with Carlson I did up work & bathed Kids & we started to sunday school but had car trouble & couldn't go. Kids nevery got any easter, no money, Lee & Syble came & ate dinner & we played horse shoes. Lyle, Gail & Norton went to birthday party. We ate & got Kids to bed & played penochle & wrote letters.

Saturday, March 27, 1948

we went to Parma & I turned in my little bank & got enough money to get a few groceries. got hay & came home & I made a cake, bread, & meat loaf & colored kids eggs. Kids took lunch & went for walk. Lyle was supposed to go on trip to Boise with scouts but they went & left him, stayed over to Lee's all [not legible].

Friday, March 26, 1948

We ate & I left Kids with Ivard & I went selling Avon. went over to Adds & stayed until 4: & visited & had a good dinner. went down to Doris's, got supper & ate & Ivard went missionarying. I went to bed I didn't feel good. Ivard planted grain all day.

Thursday, March 25, 1948

cold wind all day. rained all night. we played penochle till noon then we ate & Ivard went out & disked & planted a field of grain. I made cakes (cup) & did up work. we ate & me & Kids went up to school to a P.T.A. party & programe, Ivard came after he went missionary.

Wednesday, March 24, 1948

Ivard worked his ground & got one field of oats planted. rained. I did up work & bathed & started to Oregon Trail to put on play. car stoped by Glens & Add took me over. We put on a show for school kids. came home & got supper & Ivard, Lyle & I went over to Mutuall & put on show. I was a negro mammy in our play.

Tuesday, March 23, 1948

I did up the work & studied my part. slept all afternoon with Kids. Ivard worked his ground. tonight Keith came & got me & we went over to Maws to play practice. Ivard went out missionarying. got home 11:30. we got hay today.

Monday, March 22, 1948

wrote mother. & got a letter from her today. relief society teachers came. Ivard went to Caldwell & got a new gas tank at last & signed up for rail road comp. Keith came & took me over to Oregon trail, play practice. Ivard went missionary.

Sunday, March 21, 1948

Ivard went to Weiser with Mr. Carlson to morning & afternoon conference. I did up work & dishes & fed Kids. Stan & Louise came awhile. Keith came at 1:15 & we went to play practice. I got home at 7:15 & fed my guys & we all went to bed. cold wind. Ivard was set apart for 2 yr mission.

Saturday, March 20, 1948

did last nights dishes & got breakfast. Mr. Carlson took Ivard hunting seed. I patched a little & spent all day getting up books & studying play. at 6:30 we went up to Carlsons & I rode to play practice with them on their way to conference at Ontario. stoped & went with Glen. Blackee had a gurnsey calf. nice

Friday, March 19, 1948

Mr. & Mrs. Stoker came & got us at 9: AM & we went to Ontario & all over county seeing about consolidating schools. got home at 7: & Ivard went missionary & I went down to Stokers & Mr. took me to play practice at Maw's & waited for me. got my drivers licence. Ivard didn't pass Lyle didn't feel good & was home with kids all day

Thursday, March 18, 1948

We ate breakfast & Ivard went after load of hay & I made bread, & a cake to take over to relief society supper. Mr. Carlson lent us the money to go, it was at Legion hall in Adrian. We ate so much we were in missery. I had to carve chicken. danced a little after.

Wednesday, March 17, 1948

Ivard went over to church farm and worked all day. I spent all day patching. Kay was home sick & Gene is still in bed. Ivard, Lyle & I went to Mutual. We had play practice & Keith brought me home. Ivard took Mr. Stoker. got home at 11:

Ivard worked his ground all day and I patched all day. At 7: Ivard went to scout meeting and I fed kids & they did dishes & went to bed and I read the Bible until Ivard came. Gene still sick.

Monday, March 15, 1948

wrote mother. Kay's sick & Lyle stayed home to tend him while we went to Caldwell. We went over & got Lee & went to Parma then Caldwell. took Lee home at 4: & got a load of hay. Ivard went missionarying and I got books up. played penochle when he came home. sent income tax.

Sunday, March 14, 1948

made icecream, salad & got veg. ready before we left for Sunday school. Ivard went early with Mr. Carlson. Ray is sick. We came home & I got dinner. we ate & I studied my play & at 3:30 I went over to Oregon Trail to play practice. We practiced until church. Ivard, Lyle, Gail, & Stoker came with Carlsons.

Saturday, March 13, 1948

Ivard & Kids plowed & harrowed all day. I worked until 3: then went after groceries & gas. got home & ate & did dishes & got Kids to bed. Ivard & big Kids went to Adrian to show & I scrubbed & waxed the floors. We played penochle when Ivard came.

Friday, March 12, 1948

I finished my iorning. Wind to bad to work. Ivard & I played penochle to see who did dishes. first time I won. Kay stayed home sick. Mrs. Stoker took Kids to Primary. I bathed & at 6:30 we went over & got George & Martha & went over to Langdons Corner & met Ray & Evelyn & we went over to Leatha to 70's Party. there were Ords & one other couple from our ward.

Thursday, March 11, 1948

did up work. awful east wind to bad to work. At noon we went over & Glen cut Ivard hair then they went over to Gene Bair's farm sale & I stayed with Add. We got home at 6: Ivard went missionary & I iorned until he got home.

Wednesday, March 10, 1948

Ivard plowed all day. I did up the work and studied my part. We ate & got the kids ready & we all went to Mutual and the show after. Johny Studiech came & stayed all night.

Tuesday, March 9, 1948

took Ivard over to Besendophers & got their tractor & I came home & made 4 lemon pies, Mrs Ricks came over to help. we served desert at relief society. got home at 4: & got supper. Ivard left at 6:30 for scout meeting in Ontario. I got books up & wrote letters. snow when we got up.

Monday, March 8, 1948

did up work & made 9 pts. grape jam. Jerry came home at noon & we took him to dentist & had my tooth pulled. Ivard went to doctor. his foot is about better. ate & I went over to Lee's to sunday school meeting & Ivard went missionarying. got home at 10:30.

Sunday, March 7, 1948

Ivard bathed & went to Priesthood with Mr. Carlson. I bathed & me & kids went to sunday school & fast meeting. Ivard bore his testimony, first time. came home & ate & went down to Stokers & went to play practice with Keith. came home & we went & got Mr. Carlson & went to church, after we went up to Glens & saw Vern & Jill.

Saturday, March 6, 1948

I did a 2 weeks wash & Ivard plowed & went after hay. made all the beds & got supper. Kids did dishes bathed all the kids & got them to bed. sure tired.

Friday, March 5, 1948

I read Doc. & Cov. all morning & Ivard slept. We worked on car this afternoon took kids to Primary & went up to Stans. Ivard went missionarying tonight & I went to bed.

Thursday, March 4, 1948

Ivard & I went & got a load of hay then we ate & went to Caldwell & had Jerrys tooth pulled & Ivard signed up for compensation from Rail Road. came home & went over & cut Norton's hair. ate & did dishes. Ivard went missionarying & I got books up.

Wednesday, March 3, 1948

cold wind. we went up to Gale's & borrowed a horse. Ivard rode it home. We went to Caldwell to doctor, Ivards toe is worse. went to Nampa hunting gas tank. when we got home we had not from teacher to come after Jerry, he'd fell & broke about 3 teeth. Ivard went missionary.

Tuesday, March 2, 1948

The ward came with 5 tractors, 3 manure spreaders & loder, plows, harrows & work on our place all day. I made two pies & they took them to Wooleys & ate. I went to Stokers & went to play practice with Keith. He had to push me home after in middle of Sheverie on Doris. Ivard went missionarying.

Monday, March 1, 1948

Gail stayed home to help burn weeds. I went to Parma & got brakes fixed & got groceries. finished rug & did dishes & washed milker. Ivard worked until 7:30 then we bathed & wet over to Legion hall to Dance & Shower on Doris & Eddie. Ivard couldn't dance. we helped take their stuff home. got home at 1:30 A.M.
