Sunday, August 31, 1958

Kay took Kids to priesthood and sunday school. Ivard had to check water. I had to wash some pants for Jerry to work in. Kay brought Pete home to eat. I made waffles, sausage & eggs for dinner. at 1: Pete, Kay & Philip left for Halfway to fair, they are going to stay over night & come back for foot ball practice at 10: in the morning.

Ivard went to work at 3: I took him.

I had a nap, I don't feel very good.

We all got ready & went to church. I drove up by Hammonds tonight & our pick-up was gone, Wilson took it to work. I sure was mad.

I left for Nampa at 10:30 to get Ivard.

Saturday, August 30, 1958

Kays last day at Shed

I got up & took Jerry to work at 6: & came home & took Kay over to Adrian. I washed clothes & at noon I took Ray over to Adrian selling cards. He sold 2 boxes of all occasion & 18 boxes of Xmas. We picked Kay up at 4:30, today was his last day, & we dashed to Caldwell & got Kay shoes & 4 pr. pants & he bought Dale a pr. of shoes. Ray earned 12.50 selling cards & he got shoes & school paper. Kay got a pr. of foot ball shoes. We came home & ate & I took Kay & Gene over to school to foot ball practice & I went to Nyssa & got groc. then went & got Jerry & we had a hamberger & milk shake then went over to high school & waited for Kids to get through practice.

Ivard left for work early.

Friday, August 29, 1958

started our new cinder block barn.

Ivard had the car so Gene & I took Jerry to Nyssa in Pick-up at 5:50. Came home & Gene milked & I took Kay to Adrian. When I got back the guys were here stakeing out the new barn & the cinder block came about 9: & Kids helped unload it. Ivard & Jackie went to bed at 9:30 & I washed socks & rugs & a batch of clothes & got books up. Ray did dishes & work. At 3: Ivard & I & Jackie went over to Ontario & got licence for car & pick-up & had a root beer then we went over to Lawrence & Aftons & visited & had supper. We left at 8: & went to Ontario & got Jerry.

Gene drove pick-up over to foot ball practice, Kay drove it home.

sure cold today.

Ivards day off but they called him while we were gone & he missed a 1 1/2 shift.

Thursday, August 28, 1958

Lyle went back to Calif.

Got up & made lunches & took Jerry to Nyssa at 6: A.M. Came home & took Kay over to Shed at 7: Came home & laid down awhile then made waffles & they ate & Ivard & I went to Wilder & decided on plans for barn, they are going to start tomorrow. got groc. & Ivard got hair cut & we came home & Ivard & Gene tore bull pen down to make the barn there & I got dinner on to cook. Lyle, Barbra & Kids came down at 3: & we ate.

I washed 3 batches of clothes.

We played a game of penochle before we ate then after we ate they played foot ball then we played another game of penochle while Gene did chores then we told them good bye & they left for California, after going up to Metcalfs & loading up. Ivard drove Gene to Adrian to foot ball practice & I folowed them & Ivard went to Nyssa after Jerry with me. Came home at 9: & went to bed & Ivard got called to work for 11: its his day off but he signed up to work. Gene came home at 10:30 alone. Kay went to Show.

Wednesday, August 27, 1958

I go up & made lunches & took Jerry to Nyssa at 6: & Kay to shed at 7: fixed breakfast & at 9: I took Dean & Dale over to Orchard to go to Primary. Lyle & Barbra came down all morning. I went after Kids at 11:15. washed a batch of clothes. at 2: Ivard & I & Gene went to Nampa & we left Ivard for work then we went to Caldwell to Jack & Jerrys & had oil change; greese job & wheels packed & new oil & air filters. Gene & I walked up & got Him 2 pr. dennims & his school paper & stuff. I signed up for unemployment. Came home at 5: & Gene milked & I fixed supper & they ate. Lyle came & left Stan & Terry while they went to Boise to fair. at 6:40 Gene drove Pick-up over to the first foot ball practice. I followed right behind & went after Jerry. he never got off until 8: got Kids to bed & laid down until 10: & went after Ivard, he never got off until 12:30

Tuesday, August 26, 1958

I took Jerry to work at 6: & Kay at 7: then laid down awhile. We ate & Ivard & I & little Kids went up to Steels & got 2 bu. of pears & visited Lyle & Barbra awhile then Lyle came home with us & they played foot ball all afternoon. I fixed dinner & washed clothes.

Ivard went to work at 3:

Dale had a bath & I took him over to Dr. Mann for his check up before school & to dentist then we went to Nyssa & had a orange drink & got groc. & went after Jerry had to waite for him until 7: he was going to get off at 6:30 but other guy didn't show up. He came home and got ready & I took him over to Duains to go to Boise to Fair, he took Barbra Tanner. I went after Kay about 9:30.

Monday, August 25, 1958

got up & made lunches & rode to Nyssa with Ivard to take Jerry he had to be there at 5:45 this morning. came home & took Kay at 7: & Gene over to Walt Bishop to work.

Ivard cleaned ditch all morning.

I went to town & cashed the kids checks & put some in savings for them (Jerry, Kay & Jackie) & put some in bank to cover checks I wrote out for Jerry. & got a new tire.

came home & fixed dinner & washed some clothes.

Ivard went to work at 3:

Lyle was down this afternoon Ray went selling cards.

I went after Jerry at 7: & had to waite as usual then Kay was about done so we waited until about 9:30 for him.

Sunday, August 24, 1958

Lyle came & took all the Kids to priesthood & sunday school. Kay went over to Shed & worked, loaded a truck, until noon then he brought Kids home.

I got dinner. Ray stayed over to Petersons to go to chorus practice. Lyle stayed over to Melvins all day & Ivard went over & got Barbra & Kids & we ate & Ivard went to work.

Jerry did his books & I helped & I let Kay take car all afternoon he blew out a tire. He came home at 5: & went to bed.

Lyle came & took Barbra home then came & took Kids to church. & I watched T.V.

Saturday, August 23, 1958

I took Jerry to work & at 8: Lyle & Barbra came & took Gene & Ray to Boise to Air Show. I changed all the beds & washed 5 batches of clothes and swept & scrubbed dineing room & Kitchen. Kids got home about 2: I made a meat pie with biscuits on top & we ate & I took Ivard to work because Kay took Pick-up, he was going to get off at 2: but he never got off until 5: then he came home & bathed & I washed his hair & at 6: Pete came & got him & a load of them went to Baker to the All-Star foot ball game, got home about 4: A.M.

We made beds & got clothes put away & I went to Nyssa & got Jerry, had to waite until 8: came home & laid down awhile and went to Nampa after Ivard at 10:30. Ivard bought me a root beer on way home.

Friday, August 22, 1958

Ivards day off

I got up at 5: A.M. & made lunches & at 6: I took Jerry to Nyssa to work. Kay went in Pick-up today. I came home & went back to bed until 8:15 then I got up & fixed french toast for breakfast. Ivard & Gene fixed fence & disk center fields. Our new heifer we bought had a heifer calf.

I washed a batch of clothes & got books up whle Ray did up dishes & floors.

Barbra brought Kids & left all day. Me & all the Kids went to Parma & cashed Kids checks for them & got Ray's new bike at freight depot. stoped at Metcalfs & got 4 lugs of tomatoes & Lyle came home with us & they put Rays bike together. I put 2 big Kettles of tomatoes on for juice & fixed dinner. we ate & at 6:15 I went to Adrian & got groc. & & Rays new tube patched, came with hole in it. Went to Nyssa & got groc. & waited until 8: for Jerry came home & made icecream & Ivard froze it while I run tomatoe j. through & bottled it. We ate icecream & Lyle went home & Ivard made another freezer & we ate it when Kay got home at 10: & went to bed.

Thursday, August 21, 1958

got up at 5: & made lunches & took Jerry to Nyssa. Kay went in Pick-up. came home & went to bed until 8: then I made hot cakes & every one got up & ate. & Lyle & Barbra & Kids went up to Metcalfs & took Gene to Pick tomatoes. Dale went with them to play.

I made 15 qts tomatoe Juice.

I made spagetti & meat balls & left them to eat while I went to Nyssa after Jerry. Lyle, Barbra & Kids brought Gene home & he did chores & they ate. & left for Givvins Swimming. I got home right after they left 8: & Ivard, Dean & I went. Stan & Terry went to sleep so Barbra stayed out in car all the time with them. Jackie sure had fun.

We got home about 11:, Lyle went up to Metcalfs.

bad Thunder storm & raine while we waited for Ivard.

Got up & made lunches & took Jerry to Nyssa at 5:50 & came home. Kay went in Pick-up.

Got breakfast & took Kids over to Prune Orchard to go to Primary with Ida. Went back over & got them at 11:30. Put 3 big Kettles of tomatoes on to cook & washed some clothes.

Had a bath & at 1:Ivard, Dean & I went to Caldwell & put Kays money in Savings & got school clothes, socks, shorts & T Shirts. I signed up for unemployment at 3:15 & we took car to Dobbs & left it to have shocks & speed-ometer fixed & the Salesman drove us up town & we got Dean & Dales socks. walked back to car & came home. stoped & had an orange. came home & got clothes in & fixed supper & we ate & Ray did dishes & Gene did chores while I run tomatoes through & got one batch bottled. Went after Jerry at 7:30 & droped Kids off at owyhee corner to go to Mutual. waited for Jerry until 9: so went up & got Gene from Mutual on way home. Lyle was there when we got back. Jerry bottled rest of Juice & Gene, Lyle & Barbra went to Nampa after Ivard with me. had to waite until 12: he bought us a root beer on way home.

got letter from Gail

I got up at 5:30 & made Kay & Jerrys lunch & at 6: took Jerry to Nyssa, got gas & came home and took Kay to Adrian. Came home & helped get cows in & made hot cakes for breakfast, we ate & I got books up & washed clothes. Ray did dishes & Ivard & Gene went to clean weeds out of middle 2 fields.

Lyle came down & got Gene to help pick tomatoes & never brought him home until dark, brought me 6 lugs tomatoes.

Ivard let for work at 3: Ray was sick today he went after cows & fainted twice.

Me & little Kids went after Jerry at 7: I went & got Kay at 6: & he had supper with us & we took him back on way after Jerry. I went back & got him at 9:30 & waited awhile. I watched Doris Day in show until midnight.

Monday, August 18, 1958

Gene's Pig had 11 pigs & 3 died

I got up & made lunches & took Jerry to work at 5:30. came home & took Kay to Adrian then fixed breakfast & washed a batch of clothes while Ivard checked water then Ivard & I went to Boise to see about a loan to pay off cows & build on & a barn. They sounded favorable. It was too late to come home before work so we had a hamberger & took Ivard to Nampa & I went to Dobbs to see about getting Shocks on car & pd them the old bill. came home & hung clothes out & fixed supper.

Stormy all morning, rained on me when I took Jerry.

Gene worked for Tom today.

I went after Jerry at 7: got home about 8: stoped to see Kay, wasn't done.

I got books up & at 9:30 went after Kay. We got home at 10:20 & I went right on to Nampa & got Ivard. It was 12:15 when we got home.

Sunday, August 17, 1958

Gene did chores & I rode up with Ivard to check water. Lyle came over & took all the guys to Priesthood & on way over here he tried to miss the milk man, comeing around corner by Smiths & endend up in ditch on telephone pole, bashed the back door in. I went over & got Barbra & Kids & we went to sunday school. Came home & made Barbacue & we had dinner. Jerry went home with Duaine & went to Nyssa to meeting & to church at night with them. Lyle didn't come over any more today. I laid down with Ivard awhile & he went to work at 3: & I wrote a letter to Gail. Gene & Ray did chores & we all went to church. Ray gave a talk. It was ward conference.

Kay slept all day.

Came home from church & fixed Kids a sandwich & got them to bed & I watched "Pennies from Heaven" Ivard came home & went to bed.

Saturday, August 16, 1958

got up & made lunches & took Jerry at 6: A.M & came back & took Kay to Adrian. made waffles & they ate & Ray did dishes & scrubbed & waxed house & I washed clothes all day. 4 batches, overalls, rugs, socks & coloreds.

Gene went to work for Tom today after he got chores done.

Ivard watered. he bid on a job with Thur. & Friday off so he had to work today.

Lyle & Barbra cane at noon, got here this morning. I cooked steak dinner & we ate & Ivard left for work at 3: & Lyle left Kids here & went to town. I went after Jerry at 6: & got groc. Jerry got ready & I took him to Duaines to go to ward conference. Jim brought Kay home at 7:30 & he got ready & I let him take car & him Pete & Philip went to Nampa-Caldwell Drive Inn. Lyle came & got Kids after dark & they sure were getting unhappy. washed my & Ivards hair.

Friday, August 15, 1958

I got up at 5: & made lunches & took Jerry to Nyssa. came home & took Kay at 6:45. fixed breakfast & washed 2 batches of clothes while Ivard went & got Duaines trailer & him & I & Dale went to Caldwell & left trailer at Arts & went to Nampa & got Ivards check, the biggest he ever got $276.97 they took $70. away from him or he'd really had a big one. We had a root beer & loaded cow & calf after we went to the banks & pd. some bills. Came home & I cooked dinner & Ivard went to work at 2:30. He got bumped & floated on 3:30 job.

Worked on my books all afternoon & made out payments to mail. had to go & get one of our new cows clear down by Hickmans, hunting her calf. at 7: I went to Nyssa & got groc. & waited for Jerry, he worked until 8:15. came home & Kay was already home. fixed Kids some bread & milk & we all got to bed.

Thursday, August 14, 1958

I got up & took Jerry to Nyssa to work at 6: A.M. came home & took Kay to Adrian at 7:50, didn't have to be their until 8: today. Ivard went over & got Duaine's trailer at 6:30 & went to Caldwell & brought 2 cows home & Art brought 2 then I went back to Art Jeromes with Ivard & Art took us up to bank & we fixed up papers & we brought 2 more cows home. Art will bring other 2 tonight. We came home at 11:15 & Ray had work done up. I got books up & fixed dinner & Ivard went over to finish baleing Tom's hay.

Ivard went to work at 2: & Gene finished the last row. I washed a batch of clothes. Art brought 1 cow the other one had a calf when he was getting ready to load them.

Gene & Ray did dishes & Me & Gene went to Nyssa & got Jerry. Came home & laid down so I could get Kay at midnight but Pete brought him at 10:, they left the rest of trucks till morning.

got letter from Lyle, be up Sat.

I got up & made Jerry, Kay & Ivards lunches & took Jerry to Nyssa at 6: AM. Kay had to be to work at 6:45 so Ivard had to take him & Gene. Gene went over to Walt Bishops to go to work up at Sucker creek.

Ivard watered.

I had a bath & at 1:30 Ivard & I went up to Caldwell to Art Jeromes & looked at cows, we bought 8, 1st calf heifers for $1600. 4 just freshened & 4 will right away have to pay $100. a month. I took Ivard to Nampa & had a root beer & he went to work & I went back to Caldwell & signed for unemployment & got groc. came home & G&B had just come & were loading deep freeze their going to take it back & keep it until we build on. got books & fixed supper. Gene came home & did chores & we ate, he earned 7. I droped Gene & ray off at owyhee corner to go to Mutual & Dale Jackie & I went on to Nyssa & got Jerry, vever got off until 8:15. left for Nampa for Ivard at 9:15 & he never got off until 11: we went on to Adrian for Kay & had to waite until 12:30 A.M.

Tuesday, August 12, 1958

I got up late & made lunches & took Jerry to Nyssa to work & had to hurry so fast to get back in time to take Kay that I sideswiped a big tree that had fallen over half way across the road, It didn't do much damage, Slight dent in doors.

Ivard & Gene cleaned ditches & watered I washed 3 batches of clothes & Ray swept & moped & defrosted icebox then walked over to Earl's. Ivard went to work at 1:

I embroidered on relief society pillow slips all day, forgot it was relief society today.

At 6:45 I took little Kids over to Earls to play while I went to Parma & waited until 7:30 for Jerry then I went on over to corn factory & got him, guys he was going to ride with left early came home & got Kids & fed them & I took Jerry over to church to sunday school meeting came through Adrian at 10:10 & Kay had just got off & came home with us.

Monday, August 11, 1958

Kay sent Mother a letter & $10.

Jerry had to be to Nyssa at 6: A.M. we left home at 5:30. after I made his & Kays lunch. Kay went in Pick-up today.

I changed all the beds & washed 4 batches of clothes.

Ivard baled Toms hay all day.

At 11:30 Gene Dean, Dale Jackie & I went to town & got milk check & Put it in bank & put $50. in Kays Saving for him, he has $300. now. He gave Jackie 5. for shoes & we got her a pr. of black patant slippers & 4 pr. socks. Gene got him some shoes for school. stoped in Wilder & got the estimate to build on a room & basement, bathroom & barn cost about $2350. made beds & got clothes in & rest washed & hung out Ivard bathed & we went to Wilder to lumber yard & looked at barn plans & out & looked at Batts Barn then we went to Nyssa & got Jerry. We had bon fire & had a weinnie roat in Thunder & lightening & just got in house when it really Poured. Ivards night off.

Sunday, August 10, 1958

Ivard, Jerry, Kay, Gene, Ray, Dean & Dale went to Priesthood & sunday school. Ray went home with Patersons after.

I swept house, made beds & cleaned up & washed 3 batches of clothes & had dinner ready when they got home at 12:30. Jerry & Dean did the dishes & Kay had a nap.

I worked on Gene & Kays books, getting them balanced & helped Jerry write down all his budget sunday money & names.

Ivard watched T.V. all afternoon Kay wrote to Mother & Gene did chores then I washed Kays hair.

We all went to church, it was real good. They called different ones out of Audience. Came home & had a sandwich & went to bed.

Ivards night off.

Saturday, August 9, 1958

got up at 5: A.M & made the lunches & at 5:50 I took Jerry to Nyssa to work came home at 6:40 & took Gene over to Walt Bishops & Kay over to Shed in Adrian, came home & washed 3 batches of clothes, 2 bedspreads, & cleaned my & Kids bedroom & Ray did rest of the house.

Ivard baled hay for Tom until 1: & had a bath & we ate & Dean, Dale & I took Ivard to Nampa to work.

I patched all morning.

We got groc. in Caldwell & came home at 5: in bad dust storm. at 6:30 me & Kids went to Nyssa after Jerry. We met Gene comeing home, over by Howes's corner so he went with us. We had to waite until 7:30 for Jerry. came home at 8:15 & Gene did chores. Kay followed us home & got ready & went to Caldwell to Carnival with Pete & Stanley. Jerry, Gene & I went to Nampa after Ivard at 9:30 & Gene bought us a root beer.

Friday, August 8, 1958

got up at 5: A.M & made lunches & at 5:50 took Jerry to Nyssa, 40 miles over & back then I took Gene down to Bishops & Kay to Adrian, 12 1/2 more miles. Ivard milked & Kids ate then Ivard started to bale but knife needed sharpening so we took it to Adrian & had it done & he baled until 1:30 & had a bath & went to work.

Cloudy & rainy until about 3:

I washed a batch of clothes & embrordered on relief society pillow slips. fixed dinner & we ate before Ivard left. I had a nap & got books up & fixed out gas tax refund.

Gene got home at 4:15.

I got ready & went to Nyssa after Jerry at 6:30. & picked Kay up on the way home at 7:45. Came home & fixed supper & Ray did dishes & we all went to bed.

Ivard got home at 11:45

Thursday, August 7, 1958

Gene got up & raked for Tom for hr. before he went to work.

I got up at 5: A.M & made Jerry & Kays lunch & at 5:30 I took Jerry to Nyssa to corn Factory came home at 6:40 & took Gene over to Walt Bishops on river to work & Kay to Shed at Adrian. came home & Ivard had milked.

The Boise Payette Lumber guy & carpenter came out from Wilder to estimate Building on a room & a barn. Ivard watered & hauled broken bales & I got books up & washed 3 batches of clothes.

Ivard went over & started to bale Toms hay but sheared a pin so left early for work to get one. I fixed dinner & ate before he left. I had a nap & at 6:30 me & Kids went to Nyssa & got Jerry. I put supper on to cook first. Kay was through when we came back but he stayed & went swimming & Pete brought him home about 10: Gene was home & milking & when he got done we ate, about 8:30, & Kids did dishes & we all went to bed. Sure hot today. Ivard got home at 12:

Wednesday, August 6, 1958

Ivard took Jerry over to go to work with Duaine at 6:, he was 20 min. late. I took Kay to Adrian to work when he got back. Gene finished cutting Toms hay & went down & had dinner then started to rake for him. Ivard hauled cans up to garbage & I washed a batch of clothes & got socks put away I washed yesterday & mended about 8 pr.

I took Kids over to Orchard to go to Primary at 9: & Ivard went & got htem at 11:30. Earl came all day, Duains cousin, working for him, tiped Lees tractor over backward on him & he's pretty bad. lot of guys called here, thought it was one of our Kids. Ivard & I went to town at 1: to Banks & went to Nampa & got Gene's shirt laway and had hamberger & Ivard went to work. I signed for unemployment & got groc. & came home & read my new relief society mag. Gene did chores & at 6:30 he drove pick up to Adrian for Kay, & I followed him & we went to Nyssa & got Jerry. got home at 7:30 & Ray had gone to Mutual with Ida. we had weinnie roast & they all went to bed early. Gene has a job tomorrow at Walt Bishops. I went after Ivard at 9:15, he got off at 10:15. We got home at 11: & Kay was home.

Tuesday, August 5, 1958

I got up at 4:45 & fixed Jerry, Kay & Ivards lunch & at 5:30 I took Jerry over to Duaines to go to work at Nyssa. Came home & washed a huge batch of socks & laid down until 6:30 then Kay got up & went to work & Gene did chores & I took him down to Bishops at 7:30 to work. Ivard finished laying a corner of floor & I turned socks & did them & Ray & Dean took everything out of cup board & washed it & dishes. Ivard put quarter Round down & I cleaned & polished machine. The dryer didn't sound right so Ivard fixed it. I got books up & Ray waxed the new floor.

Ivard went to work at 2:

Gene came home & did chores & they ate out on lawn, he got done at Will Bishops.

When Ivard got home at 11: Jerry wasn't home so we went to Nyssa but didn't find him or Kay. Came home & found Pick up up on side of road by Clucas out of gas so we pulled it home & Jerry & Kay were in Bed, Kay had got Jerry.

Monday, August 4, 1958

sent Mother, Lyle, & Gail a letter

I got up & fixed Jerry & Kays lunch & at 6:45 I took Jerry to Nyssa to work at corn factory, first day. Kay went to work at Shed & Gene worked down to Bishops. I came home & changed all the beds & started washing & wrote to Mother & Gail while Ray did dishes & him & Ivard took everything out of front room & Ivard put down our new tile floor. I washed 4 big batches & got them put away.

I got supper & they ate, after Gene came home & did chores, at 8: out on lawn; while I went to Nyssa & got Jerry, came home & he got ready & I took him over to church to sunday school faculty meeting. Came home at 10: & They were sitting out in drive way watching T.V., left furniture out all night. Kay worked until midnight. earned about $43. today.

Ivards night off. Ray made beds.

Sunday, August 3, 1958

Ivards day off. Gene did chores & Ivard, Jerry, Gene, Ray, Dean Dale went to Priesthood, sunday school and fast meeting. Kay had a bath & I washed his hair and Pete came and got him and they went to Baker, got home about 11:

I dressed jackie & cleaned up. Thundered & rained hard for awhile. I had dinner ready when they got home at 2: & Jerry made some punch & we ate. Ray stayed over to Haneys. Jerry & Dean did dishes & Ivard & I had a nap after we read paper.

This afternoon I wrote a letter to Lyle.

Gene did chores & we got ready & all went to church but Jerry and Jackie. Dean & Dale were on the Primary programe. Had an interview with Bishop after & told him we could support Jerry on a mission. watched T.V. awhile.

Saturday, August 2, 1958

got letter from Mother

Kay went to work at 7:15. Ivard & Kids finished cleaning up stuff out of back porch. I washed 4 batches of clothes. The guy brought our new big 8 ft. chest RVCO freezer then they made the fluid leak when they were getting it in so we will have to waite until Wed. for them to fix it.

After Gene did chores I took him down to Bishops to work.

Jerry went over to Nancy & got comp. check the mail man left over there & when he came back we all went to Caldwell & had one of albertsons 10 cent cheese bergers then went & had root beer & took Ivard to work. got groc. in Caldwell & came home & put clothes away & Jerry got supper.

Gene did chores & we ate & watched T.V. at 9:30 Jerry, Gene & I went to Nampa & got Ivard, he got off at 10:30.

Kay got home after we got home about 11:30. Him & Pete loaded a truck of spuds.

I started on diet, first 3 days liquid

I got up & fixed Kays lunch & went back to bed & Kay went to work over to Shed. Ivard measured me & I started on my diet. They had breakfast & Ivard & I Jerry, Gene, Dean & Jackie went to Parma & Pd. on laway & pd. phone then we went to Nyssa & Jerry got a job at corn factory, same one he had last year. We went to Ontario to sign G&B contract for tile & bought a big 8 ft chest Ansco freezer. stoped in Nyssa & got groc. & came home & Ivard went to work at 1:30 so he could go to bank & pay car & baler. Kids took everything out of back porch & cleaned it good for freezer, turned the piano in on freezer for 25. got freezer on sale for $4999.95 less piano.

I got my books up.

got Kids to bed & bathed Jackie & Jerry & I watched T.V. until it went off the air.

Ivard got home at 11:30 & Kay got off work at 4: & never got home until 11:45.
