Saturday, June 19, 1948

went to bed at 5:30 A.M & got up at 8: & got breakfast. was tired all day. had a nap this afternoon & after supper we went over to Aftons & took Ma & Dad & visited until midnight. took the boxes home from peas.

Friday, June 18, 1948

got up at 5: & did dishes & we went over to Lee's & got Jackson fork, came home & ate & the guys got the hay up. to cloudy to go picking, thought it would rain (never). got dinner & went & got Syble & we went to Parma. I got cases peas & delivered Avon. got home at 7: & Syble came over & got us to go over to Aftons after a box of peas already blanched, from factory. up all night doing 21 qts.

Thursday, June 17, 1948

got up at 4:30 & got us some breakfast & we went & got Syble to pick strawberries. took Kids to Stans to hoe beets, went & got them at 1:30. came home & got supper & we took Mother & Dad to see a place then we went to Adrian & had a drink & icecream. came home & played one hand penochle.

Wednesday, June 16, 1948

didn't go picking today. went over to Sybles & washed my hair & had a bath then went delivering Avon. came home & got supper. we were supposed to go to 70's party but Ivard went to bed. I did dishes & was just going to bed when Mother & Dad came, at 10: from Salt Lake City.

Tuesday, June 15, 1948

got up at 4:30 to go pick. had a good day but I sure felt awful. went to Stans after & got rhubarb & saw their new car. we ate supper & Ivard went out miss. I got my books up. went to bed at 10:45.

Monday, June 14, 1948

Me, Lyle, Gail, & Jerry went at 5:30 to pick strawberries. came home at noon & went to Caldwell with Ivard & I got me & Kay some new shoes & we got feed. Syble got a tooth out. Took Syble home & got supper & at 7:30 I took Ivard up to Carlsons & I went & got Mrs. Ricks & went teaching.

Sunday, June 13, 1948

Ivard & Kids went to sunday school & I cleaned up house & made 2 cakes & icecream stuff. We ate & Ivard froze icecream. Jimmy, Venae & George, Lee & Syble & Kids came to Jerry's birthday party. Lee & Syble & us went to Parma to Gone With the Wind.

Saturday, June 12, 1948

Me, Lyle & Jerry went & got Syble at 5:30 A.M & we went over by Stans to a 25 acre strawberry patch. I picked 7 & Kids 8. went to Nyssa & got ice & groceries. got home at 4: & I got supper & we went to bed at 8:30. sure tired.

Friday, June 11, 1948

went over & got Syble at 5:30 A.M. & we went over to Aftons & picked strawberries. I earned enough to bring home 14 cups of Berries and I made 19 pints of jam, and got supper. Went to bed with Ray and Ivard went out missionarying.

Thursday, June 10, 1948

hoed 4 rows beets after breakfast. got dinner. went to Parma & got 25 baby chickens. We ate & Ivard went missionarying & I baked bread & bottled 6 qts beet greens. got to bed at 1: A.M. Ivard & Kids & Lee went swimming.

Wednesday, June 9, 1948

watered garden & got dinner & mixed bread. did 5 qts beet greens Ivard got A.A.A. beet check & I went & got Syble & we went to Parma & got groceries. came home & fed Kids & we went & got Lee & Syble & went over to Aftons & picked straw. & up to Kays after [intelligble].

Tuesday, June 8, 1948

got up at 5:30 & went out & hoed beets got breakfast & hoed till noon, got dinner & had a nap & Ivard cut Kids hair. went down & watched Ivard & Kids swim. went over & got Syble & we went to Adrian. got supper & watered garden. Ivard went miss.

Monday, June 7, 1948

got up & we ate & I did bushel of iorning. Syble came over at 1: & went to Caldwell with us. Jerry got 2 teeth pulled took Syble home & got supper. Ivard went out miss. Me & Ivard made up at 4:30 A.M.

Sunday, June 6, 1948

conference & no church. I scrubbed & cleaned house and Ivard & Kid thinned beets all day. Lee & Syble came over about 11: to help & had dinner. They went swimming then went home. went to bed at 8:30. Still haven't spoke to pop.

Saturday, June 5, 1948

went out & helped thin beets. This afternoon Lyle got home we went after hay & I washed my hair & had bath & Ivard had bath. We got Lee & Syble & went to Nyssa to Elders dance. Whole gang was there. had a get acquainted dance last half of night & I got left out & went & sat in car and bawled. sure mad.

Friday, June 4, 1948

I went out all day selling Avon. I made $11. got home at 7: & me & the Kids went to Adrian to see "Red Stallion" Ivard went out miss.

Thursday, June 3, 1948

Ivard took me up to Furgesons & I drove their car to Ontario to P.T.A. convention. Mrs. Wilson went with us left at 9: & got home at 5:30, bought our dinner.

Wednesday, June 2, 1948

took Kids to primary party & Add, Rodey & I went to Nyssa & Parma. came back & Mrs Stoker had taken Kids down to her place. got them & came home & got supper. Ivard came just as we were eating & we went to Adrian to show.

Tuesday, June 1, 1948

Ivard & Kids thinned beets until noon & I went over to Sybles a min. then to Parma to bank. At noon I took Ivard & Lyle over to Patterson's to go on scout trip. Lyle is going until Sat. Ivard will be back tomorrow. I went to Adds all afternoon, came home & ate & stayed up until 12:30.
