Thursday, March 31, 1949

I went up & got Jerry from school as soon as he got there & we went to Caldwell to opening of new Sears store. I got an gardenia, ruler & funny books. Ivard had to get oil for tractor. got Jerry new shoes. came home & Ivard leveled & me & Kids went over to Sybles awhile, got me new shoes. Went up to school to wienie roast.

Wednesday, March 30, 1949

did up work & me & Kids went & got gas for Ivard. he plowed all day. We had lunch then Kids had a nap & I did my iorning. We ate & did chores then we all went over to Mutual to a show, good. It sure was cold today. raw wind.

Tuesday, March 29, 1949

did up my work & made 24 deviled eggs to take to relief society work meeting then I went & got gas for tractor & at 11:15 I went down to Stokers to relief society. got home at 6: and got supper. crocheted awhile. we went to bed early.

Monday, March 28, 1949

Did up work & wrote to mother then I did my washing. cold wind. Ivard Plowed until noon with neighbors tractor then him & Kids went after gas & were gone all afternoon. they had car trouble. got all my clothes in & put away. Frank & Loretta came awhile, traded me bulbs.

Sunday, March 27, 1949

We all went to sunday school and fast meeting. Lyle went home with Melvin. We ate & Lee & his brother-in-law came over awhile. Glen & Lee Stoker came & told us we owed $200. on new church. Gail & Jerry went up to Stradleys to birthday party from 6 to 10: Ivard took Dick over to Lee's at 7: & never got home until 10:

Saturday, March 26, 1949

Ivard got two acre beet ground ready to plant then couldn't get planter rained all afternoon. I cleaned whole house good & washed my hair & baked bread. bathed me & all the Kids. at 8: we went over to Maxe's & went to Nyssa to dance then came back to Maxs birthday party Laurence & A. & Ray & E. it was Ray anniv. got home at 2:30.

Friday, March 25, 1949

Ivard plowed all day & I patched until noon I served at school today. then I went over & got Syble & we went & did our relief society teaching. got home at 6: & did dishes and got supper. we went to bed early. Cold wind all day. Kids went to Jimmys party after school.

Thursday, March 24, 1949

Lyle didn't feel good so he stayed home. Ivard corrigated grain today I took feed to Adrian to be ground then went on over to Nyssa & got beet seed & fertilizer brought it home then went back to Adrian & got feed. Patched awhile. went to bed early.

Wednesday, March 23, 1949

Ivard corrigated today. I did up my work & patched until noon. This afternoon I did a basket of iorning. We ate & Ivard & I & Lyle & Gail went to Mutual. took Norton & Benny. I didn't feel very good.

Ivard hauled manure all day and I did up my work & patched all morning. went & got Syble & started for relief society. missed Mrs. Stoker so we drove clear over to Patterson's. got supper & went to bed at 10:

patched clothes before kids could go to school didn't get Gails done so he stayed home wrote mother, Berniece, Ruth & Louie. baked bread and patched all afternoon. Ivard & Gail hauled manure. We went to bed early.

Sunday, March 20, 1949

we got ready & made a lunch & at 8:30 we took Lyle & Gail & went up to Carlsons & went with him to Weiser to conference. took Syble too. Bishop Childs was made the new Stake President. wonderful conference. got home at 6: & ate, did chores, & went to bed early.

Saturday, March 19, 1949

made bread & Jerry cleaned bed room & front room. at noon I went to Adrian & Nyssa with Ivard to get Lamberts manure spreader fixed he broke. hauled 11 loads today. We ate & went up to Carlsons for a little while. Lyle moped dinneing room & kitchen.

Friday, March 18, 1949

Ivard finished planting his grain at noon 19 acres, we took horses up to Woolies first then went over & borrowed Lee's. this after noon we took Lees horse home & let him use one of ours. got home at 4:30 & got supper. Ivard went up to go miss but Mr. Carlson got home too late.

Thursday, March 17, 1949

Ivard spent all day running back & forth 3 trips to Parma getting seed & getting it treated. I did my washing & made lemon pies. We ate & went & got Lee & Syble & we went over to Oregon trail to annual relief society Party, good programe & we danced & ate pie & icecream.

Wednesday, March 16, 1949

made bread & took stuff out of front porch & my bed room & cleaned good. we went to Parma & took barley to be treated & brought oats home then we went up to Carlsons & got some wheat & took to Adrian to be treated. Ivard planted barley. We took Lyle & Gail to Mutual.

Tuesday, March 15, 1949

Ivard went over to Glens & got truck & him & Mr. Carlson went to Homedale & got our grain drill. I made chilli & took up to school then went on over to Ad's & we went with Rhody over to Hartleys to relief society. got home at 5:00 & got supper. Ivard went up to Carlsons to go miss. but they didn't go. Ivard planted barley all afternoon.

Monday, March 14, 1949

did up work & baked bread, got books up & wrote mother. took seed to Parma to be treated & cleaned. stoped in to Sybles for awhile. Ivard finished getting his grain ground ready today. Mr. Carlson came down awhile. I crocheted & we made out our income tax.

We all went to sunday school but Lyle & Kay. Kay didn't feel good. We went around & took Syble. ate dinner at 2:30 & had a nap all afternoon. did chores & had a sandwich & went to bed at 9:

ate & cleaned up a bit then we started for Parma but stoped at Sybles & got them & went to Caldwell to sale & got groceries. got home at 7: & ate then we went over to Lee's & cut hair & played penochle. never got home until 1:30 A.M. had had letter from Jean & Louie.

Friday, March 11, 1949

Ivard disked all day & I did up work & crocheted. went over to Sybles awhile bathed & got ready & we went to Nyssa to their Gold & Green ball. had a lot of fun. Laurence & Afton and Max & Rhody were there too. got home at 1: A.M. rained awhile.

Thursday, March 10, 1949

did up work, got books up & baked bread. went over to Adrian & got feed ground while Ivard plowed. ate & did chores & took Lyle Gail & Chaney kid over to Adrian at 6:30 to basket ball benefit games. Gail played on all star team but he didn't get to play much, midnight when we got home. Mr. Parkin & Stan came a few min.

got letter from Berniece. did up work & at noon we ate & Ivard took me up to Carlsons & I went to Ontario to doctor with him. got home at 5:30 & got supper. Ivard cut school kids hair & they bathed. went to bed at 9:30.

Tuesday, March 8, 1959

sent mother a letter & Berniece a card. at 10: I went over to Sybles then on over to Add's & went to relief society work day with her at Hawkins. got home at 5: We ate & Ivard left to go miss but Mr. Carlson was sick & came down with him & used Phone, didn't go.

Monday, March 7, 1949

made 5 lemon pies then we went over to Lees & I stayed while Ivard went to Parma after seed. I went over to sale with Lee at neighbors. was there all day. had to take 2 pies. Lyle went down to Chaneys all night & Ivard went missionarying. I went to bed.

Sunday, March 6, 1949

We all went to sunday school but Jerry & Kay. Gail graduated from Primary & gave a talk in sacrement meeting. I bore my testimony. Jimmy came home with us. Lyle, Gail, Kay & Jimmy went to meeting with us. It was relief society meeting. I closed with prayer. Gail was made a deacon. I had to give lesson.

Saturday, March 5, 1949

Lyle did up work & I did the iorning. Ivard & Gail took Grain to Parma to get it treated then Lee came over & they took our 2 bull calves to Caldwell to sale he bought 4 chairs & a bike. got home at 6: & at 7 we took kids to Homedale but they didn't play, rest of them didn't show up.

Friday, March 4, 1949

cut out 3 night gowns & got 2 of them made. at noon we went up & got Gail & the Baxter kids to play ball & took a whole car load of boys to Homedale. Gail won. got home at 5:30. Ivard worked until dark. went to bed early.

got books up & did up work. Doris came with Glen to get bull. did up work & crocheted. got ready & took Gail & went after other Kid & Lee & Syble & took kids to Adrian to go & play ball at Homedale & we went over to Laurences & went to Weiser to Stake Gold & Green ball. got home at 3:15 A.M.

did up my work and crocheted all day. Ivard plowed & at 10:30 he took Gail over to ball practice, all star team. Lyle didnt come home tonight, Kids said he went to Chaneys to stay. I went out & burned weeds for Ivard after supper until way after dark. went to bed at 9:

We went to Wilder & got tire fixed & gas then at 11: we went & got Lee & Syble & went to Ontario then comeing home we had flat & no tools. Went up to Ray's awhile then over to Aftons. got our licence at Nyssa. got home at dark & ate & went to bed. Gail had gone to ball practice, on all star team at Adrian. Ivard went miss.
