Ivard kept kids out in field all day & I went & got Syble & we went to Ontario to see A.A.A. for Ivard. got back to Sybles & I washed my hair & had a bath. came home & got supper & Ivard & I went over to Stans to party. sure rained hard. I went early & helped I won 2 prizes & Ivard one. lot of fun.

Thursday, April 29, 1948

stormy. we went down to see Boggess place on the river then I wrote mother about it. played penochle this afternoon. I got supper & tonight Ivard went out with Mr. Carlson, miss.

Wednesday, April 28, 1948

we went over & got a load of hay with the horses. got my book up. and cut me out a new dress. Got supper & Lyle & Ivard & I went to the closeing social for Mutual. had a dance to records.

Tuesday, April 27, 1948

we went over & got Syble & Lee & went to Ontario to sign up at F.S.A. for beets, last year at A.A.A., went to Nyssa & got corn & beet seed. came to Sybles & ate & Ivard helped Lee get stuff from sale then we loaded hay. Ate pheasant tonight. Ivard went out miss.

Gene is better today. wrote mother. Lyle's stomach hurt & he stayed home. Gail came home at noon & we took them to Caldwell to dentist got an apointment for next Mond. came home & went to sale & got hay. went to sale before we went to Caldwell too. got a few little things. Ivard & I went up to vote for school funds.

Sunday, April 25, 1948

Gene still sick & Ivard had pink eye so he stayed home wih him & Ray. & I took Kids to sunday school. Stan & Louise came a min. after. George & Martha came this afternoon. Lyle went to Balentines till after meeting & came for me with Carlson. Gail went to Nortons awhile. Ivard & I played penochle. rode up to Carl.

Saturday, April 24, 1948

Gene still sick. Kay, Ray, Ivard & I went over to Stans this morning & never got home until 9: we ate dinner & Ivard helped Stan with ditches & they got us each 8 pheasants. I went to Nyssa with Louise & got home & the light we out. came on while we were cleaning pheasants washed my hair at 6:30 A.M.

Friday, April 23, 1948

cloudy & cold, no fire. Gene in bed sick all day & Ray should have been. Ivard worked on ditch all day. I finished iorning, did up work, did patching & finished my new dress. Glen came twice & brought cement mixer. Ivard went out missionarying.

Thursday, April 22, 1948

washed milker, defrosted icebox did up work & dampened clothes Ivard worked on ditch. This afternoon I iorned & got supper. Tonight I baked bread & iorned while Ivard went out missionarying. Gale home sick.

Wednesday, April 21, 1948

Gail home sick again. Awful dust storm all day. Ivard & I planted 4 rows ever bearing strawberries this afternoon I went up & helped Ivard dig ditch. got Kids to bed & Lyle, Jerry, Ivard & I went to Mutual & show after.

Tuesday, April 20, 1948

Jerry stayed home & so did Gail. Gail is quite sick. I went selling all day. had to buy a new battery. came home & Ivard I went up to Parma & got a bunch of everbareing strawberries. Ivard went miss. My mouth sure hurts.

Monday, April 19, 1948

did up work & did 3 weeks wash. Kay was home sick Jerry came home at noon & we went to Caldwell with Ivard & Jerry & I each had 3 teeth out came home & finished up wash, got supper & did dishes. Ivard went missionarying.

Sunday, April 18, 1948

Ivard & I bathed & we all went to sunday school. Came home & ate & cleaned up then I made 4 lemon pies. Stan & Louise came & they went out & got 5 pheasants & I had to clean them while they went over & did Stans chores. We at at 9:30 & did dishes. Lyle stayed downt to Stokers all night.

Saturday, April 17, 1948

cleaned house good. then this afternoon we went after hay & Syble & I went to Parma & got groceries. bathed Kids & got them to bed then we went over to Glens & talked to Add till 11:30 then Glen came & cut Ivards hair & we had icecream.

Friday, April 16, 1948

planted some more garden. Lee came over & they dehorned the calves then went & did his then we went to Nyssa & Ivard got his drivers licence Lee didn't pass. worked on my new dress. went after hay & took Lyle over to Hemmingways to go with scouts.

Thursday, April 15, 1948

Ivard went over to Stans at 7: & they hauled us some beet pulp. I rode back over with them & took car & went up to Aftons with Avon & had dinner. Stan hauled us a load of gravel then we went to Caldwell & meridian. Lyle was home with Kids. Ivard went mission.

Wednesday, April 14, 1948

rained all morning. went up to Carlsons until noon then went to Parma & over to Stans. went to Nyssa with Louise. Came home at 7: & ate. too late to go to Mutual. I got my books up.

Tuesday, April 13, 1948

I made banna pies then went out all day & rode ditches & helped make ditches. Our tile came for ditches today. Went after hay & over to Store. ate & I went down to Doris's & she went up to Adds with me while Ivard was to scout meeting.

Monday, April 12, 1948

planted 8 rows potatoes then took Ray to doctor, came home & went to bed Caldwell & signed up at rail road for comp. wrote to Mother Ivard went out missionary and I got Kids to bed & got books up.

Sunday, April 11, 1948

Ivard & Big Kids went to sunday school & I stayed home with Ray & cleaned up house, made pies & got dinner ready & Add & Glen came to dinner & stayed until 5:30 Lyle stayed to Ballentines all day. We went to church. Lyle talked, graduated from primary.

Saturday, April 10, 1948

was up all night holding Ray. His head blead 3 times. soaked bed & pillow. took Ray to doctor again at Nyssa. went to Glens & got some more berry plants. Had fish supper. Went to bed early.

Friday, April 9, 1948

did up work & at noon we went over & got Syble & Lee & I went up to Evelyns to a stork shower on Juanita Heath. Ivard took Ray to doctor about his head & took pump to get fixed. Came home & ate & Ivard went missionarying. Ray's head nother him, couldn't sleep.

Thursday, April 8, 1948

Gail was home with Pink eye. we went up to Aftons & got rasp. plants & over to Adds & got some & we went to Besendorphers. Mr. Carlson came to go Miss. but it was too late time we doctored Ray's head. Afton, Laurence, Orvin & Laura came & we all talked religion until midnight.

Wednesday, April 7, 1948

Ruth got breakfast & we ate & at 8:30 James came & got me & we went over to Jared Browns & up & got Martha & left for home. got here at 6: & we had Ivard birthday dinner & got ready & all went to Mutual & show after. Ray's head is all banged up. got bit with dog Monday in 3 bad places, on top worse.

Tuesday, April 6, 1948

Got up & ate & Berniece took me to bus at 10:15. rode grey hound to Salt Lake, snowed all the way. shoped till 3: then rode out to Louie's on bamberger, she took me over to Irvins then down to Ruths. They'd gone to show & me & kids talked till they came then we talked religion until 2:30 A.M.

Monday, April 5, 1948

Jean & I did up work & washed my hair & had shower & Jean put up my hair. Berniece & Ken came at 3: & at 5: when Bill came we went out to Ruths & had good supper. took Jean & Bill home & I went to Grantsville with Berniece. talked until midnight.

Sunday, April 4, 1948

got up & ate & Wayne came & took Sara over to bath his baby so I had him take me down to Ruths she cooked chicken & we went in & ate to Bills & visited all day. I stayed to Bills & while Bill studied Jean cut my hair & we visited. I wrote mother & went to bed at midnight.

Saturday, April 3, 1948

got up & went over to Bishop Maw's to see if I could ride to Utah. then took Lyle, Gail, & Jerry to Nyssa & got them shoes had car trouble. Came home & Ivard took me back to Maws & we left for Utah at 3:30. stormed on us from Burley down, snow fog, got to Cleverlys at 1: AM & stayed all night.

Ivard finished planting beets today. I went to Parma after feed. Ivard went out missionary tonight. I finished my iorning.

Thursday, April 1, 1948

got ready for show. we went & got Kids at 2:30 & went over to Primary & we put our show on. Ivard took Kids home & we went to Nyssa & ate & got ready to put our show on in Nyssa. Ivard came after we had icecream & cake. Stan bought me a malt after for going in Carls with black paint on.
