Tuesday, July 22, 1958

I got up at 6:30 & made Kays lunch & took him to work so we could have Pick-up to do our graine. Came home & made jello salad & fixed breakfast & Put a roast on to cook while Gene did chores & Kids cleaned out grain bins. Ivard got home at 8:45, he'd doubled & was half dead. He helped Gene unload the first truck of graine & went to bed. Vern Bullen came at 8:15 & got done at 11:30 then he didn't stay to eat. before Ivard went to bed We went over to Lees & sharpened 2 hay knives. Gene unloaded all the graine & Ray helped then Gene finished cutting hay out above house & cut the farthest hillside. We ate at 1: & I washed 2 batches of clothes.

Ivard got up at 4: & I took him down to Toms to borrow tractor & he went & got Calahans rake. I went & got Kay & fixed him supper & he went back to work until 10:45. Ivard raked part of hay while Gene milked then we ate & Ivard went to bed, he went to work at 10:15. Mr.Finn came & took Gene ward teaching. Kids slept on lawn.
