Monday, August 11, 1958

Kay sent Mother a letter & $10.

Jerry had to be to Nyssa at 6: A.M. we left home at 5:30. after I made his & Kays lunch. Kay went in Pick-up today.

I changed all the beds & washed 4 batches of clothes.

Ivard baled Toms hay all day.

At 11:30 Gene Dean, Dale Jackie & I went to town & got milk check & Put it in bank & put $50. in Kays Saving for him, he has $300. now. He gave Jackie 5. for shoes & we got her a pr. of black patant slippers & 4 pr. socks. Gene got him some shoes for school. stoped in Wilder & got the estimate to build on a room & basement, bathroom & barn cost about $2350. made beds & got clothes in & rest washed & hung out Ivard bathed & we went to Wilder to lumber yard & looked at barn plans & out & looked at Batts Barn then we went to Nyssa & got Jerry. We had bon fire & had a weinnie roat in Thunder & lightening & just got in house when it really Poured. Ivards night off.
